Bishop Jalen D. Whittleton

On behalf of the Apostolic Archives International, Inc., Bishop Jalen D. Whittleton represents the United Churches of Deliverance Apostolic, Inc., as an Ambassador of Church History.

 

Bishop Jalen D. Whittleton was born April 19. He is a native of Columbia, South Carolina. He knew at a tender age, he was called to the ministry. Growing up he started going to various churches and ministries with his mother ministering through song. During his years of growing and maturing, he realized God had a greater work for him to do.

He is a alumni of Irmo High School where he was the founder of a social club and also the President of the award winning "Victory in Praise" Gospel Choir. Years after his initial sermon, Whittleton was ordained into the gospel ministry and pursued his calling to start his own church, "Revelation Tabernacle Ministries" of Columbia, while being a student at Benedict College and enrolled at School of the Great Commission Theological Seminary. After hard work and dedication, he finished Seminary with a degree in Christian Leadership, August 20, 2011 and on December 20, 2014 a Masters in Theology. On December 15, 2018, Whittleton received an Honorary Degree of Divinity and was appointed as Vice Chancellor for the School of the Great Commission Theological Seminary.

Through the grace of God, he now serves as the Dean of the House of Bishops under the Presidium of Bishop James Edward Wiley Jr. of the United Churches of Deliverance Apostolic Inc. who is the Presiding Bishop of the fellowship and Bishop Whittleton also serves as the Dean of the House of Bishops for the Ecumenical Convergence of Christian Ministries under the primacy of Bishop Hayward Clemon Smith.

Bishop has one beautiful daughter, Jayla Victoria Whittleton and he is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. He serves in the Columbia chapter of the NAACP and he is the former vice president of the Theta Alpha Kappa Inc. Religious Fraternity at Benedict College.

Dt. Jalen Whittleton says he call-in ministry is to continue to help souls receive Christ as their Lord and Savior by preaching holiness, love,unity, and working under the divine anointing of Jesus Christ! His motto as a leader in the Lord's church is, "I am whay I am by the grace of God. For it is nothing that I've done, but it's the pure power of the Holy Ghost that moves through a willing vessel."
